This concept is not new. So therefore I cannot take credit for it. But I am going to try and help promote the concept. Being a Viet Nam Veteran myself and retired US Air Force, I want to and will continue to show support for our men and women serving our great nation worldwide. We need to show our support for these folks. They are making great sacrifices for us. Some have even gone as far as loosing their life to preserve our freedoms.

 

Wearing these t-shirts may not directly get these brave folks all the benefits and entitlements that they are due, but we can keep them in the minds of everyone, especially our politicians, who are the folks that decide what benefits these people will get when they return home and leave the military service. 

 

All the Viet Nam Vets out there know what it's like not to be appreciated, when they returned home. They didn't get all the fan fare that vets from WWI, WWII, Korean War, Desert Storm got. We look back into history and see the ticker tape parades and celebrations that went on. It wasn't until almost 10 years after we left Viet Nam, that these vets started getting welcome home recognition from our nation. Just like them. it seems that our returning vets from the Middle East are not getting all the care that they should be getting. We must show our support in some way, for these brave men and women returning home. Let's send a message to Washington DC, let them see that we Amercans are in support of our troops and that we want to insure that they are given the best treatment possible. Let us also show the families of these brave folks that we are thinking about them.
